The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to sanction and allow the petitioner to withdraw a sum of Rs.8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakhs Only) from and out of his own accumulation of Provident Fund Contribution.

2. Provident Fund Scheme is governed by the terms and conditions as well as rules in force. The disbursement from the provident fund is to be made by the Competent Authority strictly in accordance with the rules and based on the eligibility of the employee concerned. Therefore, a direction as such sought for to direct the respondents to grant a sum of Rs.8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakhs Only) from Provident Fund cannot be considered. However, the respondents are bound to consider the eligibility of the writ petitioner for withdrawal of the amount from his own Provident Fund Contribution and accordingly, disburse the eligible amount by following the procedures as contemplated under the rules in force. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
