O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third and fourth respondents to make necessary arrangements to survey the petitioner's land comprised in Survey No.48/6, Patta No.492, measuring an extent of 2 Acres and 421⁄2 Cents, situated at Thamaraikulam, Kannanaloor Village, Thisayanvilai Taluk, Tirunelveli District, demarcate and earmark its boundaries by fixing survey stones, and consequently direct the second respondent to issue an independent revenue patta to the petitioner in pursuance of his representation dated 24.10.2024 and the subsequent reminder dated 02.09.2025. 2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that an online application has been made for the survey of the property in question and for demarcation of its boundaries and a representation has also been submitted.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that after consideration of the claims of the parties, proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in question in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923 and that thereafter, the request of the petitioner for issuance of a separate patta would be considered.

5. Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the fourth respondent to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 24.10.2024 and also his representation dated 02.09.2025, survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after consideration of the claims of all Page No. 3 of 6

parties and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the Civil Court. It is needless to state that before surveying the land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties. It is also needless to state that after the completion of survey, the request of the petitioner for issuance of a separate patta shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
