ORDER

The writ petitioner seeks providing of electricity connection for her house. She made a representation dated 11.01.2019 in this regard.

2.The first respondent is ready to give the same. But then, objection has been received from the respondents 2 and 3. If the lines are gone over a public pathway, then the objections of the respondents 2 and 3 ought to be ignored. Of-course, the first respondent cannot draw lines over the private or patta lands of the respondents 2 and 3. if the lines will be drawn only over the public pathway, even if the respondents 2 and 3 oppose, the first respondent is obliged to provide electricity service connection. If necessary, the first respondent can also seek assistance and aid of the jurisdictional police. As and when such request is made, the jurisdictional police is mandated to offer and provide police protection.
