ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the respondents to give adequate police protection to the life of the petitioner by considering her representation dated 01.06.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The petitioner herein is stated to be the victim of sexual assault, committed by one Karthick and in respect of which, a case has been registered in Crime No.378 of 2014 under Sections 366, 376 IPC and 3(ii)(v) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities), Act, 1989. After investigation, final report/charge sheet has been filed by the third respondent and that has been taken on file in Spl.Case No.81 of 2015. Apprehending danger to her life and limb, the petitioner has preferred a representation dated 01.06.2016.

5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that protection has already been given to the petitioner by providing police personnel to the residence of the petitioner. There is also an undertaking to extend the protection, while she is to be examined as a witness before the concerned Court.
