ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondent to conduct an enquiry on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner on 02.12.2020.

2. The petitioner had purchased the property in question which is situated in Kattuparamakudi Group Village, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District in Survey No.209/32 measuring 0.01.800 ares. The petitioner had purchased the same on 16.07.1997. Subsequently, the petitioner had sought to change of the name in the revenue records. The name had been changed in the chitta, but in patta, the name had been changed to one Mari, Wife of Maruthu who is the adjacent land owner. In view of this, the petitioner had given a representation claiming that she is the actual owner and that Mari, wife of Maruthu is not the owner of the said lands. I am informed that on 08.11.2021, the respondent along with Mari, wife of Maruthu had made necessary enquiries. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. It is informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that Mari, wife of Maruthu had very clearly stated that she is not claiming any rights over the lands of the petitioner herein. Pursuant to such enquiry, final orders should be passed by the respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Paramakudi on or before 30.11.2021.

4. Mr.Gandhiraj, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

5. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
