ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the second respondent to give adequate Police Protection for life and limb of the Petitioner and to ensure his peaceful possession and enjoyment of his property on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2026.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner faces serious threat to his life and limb from the 3rd and 4th respondents. Hence he had made a complaint before the second respondent on 29.01.2026 and 3.01.2026, seeking police protection to ensure his peaceful enjoyment over the property comprised in Survey Nos. 449/27A, 449/27B and 449/27C, situated at Kadankulam, Thirumalapuram Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District, for an extent of 1.9.50 Hectares of which he had purchased through registered sale deed bearing document No.294 of 2023 on 16.02.2023. 2/5

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the petitioner purchased a property in the name of her daughter-in-law and the dispute arose between them. In this regard, a suit in O.S.No.200 of 2023 was filed by the said Thangatharani, before the learned District Munsif Court, Naguneri, for permanent injunction. The same was already decreed as ex parte. A suit in O.S.No.124 of 2023 was also filed against the petitioner's daughter-in-law, before the learned District Munsif Court, Nanguneri. During pendency of the civil proceedings, seeking police protection for entering into the property, the petitioner has given representation. Since the same was not considered, this Criminal Original Petition is filed.

4. Heard both sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

5. During the pendency of two civil suits, the petitioner is seeking police protection to enjoy the property compressed in Survey Nos. 449/27A, 449/27B and 449/27C, Kadankulam, Thirumalapuram Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District. It is needless to state that the 3/5

police cannot meddle in civil matters. The petitioner is at liberty to seek police protection after disposal of the civil suits.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
