ORDER

The petitioner is working as an Assistant in the Revenue Department. She claims that she is eligible to be promoted as a Senior Revenue Inspector, however, her name has been included in the panel of the year 2017 instead of 2016 and therefore, she submitted a representation to the District Revenue Officer. The District Revenue Officer, by order dated 07.06.2017, rejected the petitioner's request and suggested that if she is aggrieved over the same, she can file an appeal before the Additional Chief Secretary/Commissioner of Revenue Administration within a period of 60 days. The petitioner is said to have filed an appeal before the first respondent, namely, the Additional Chief Secretary/Commissioner of Revenue Administration on 04.08.2018. Now, the petitioner has filed this writ petition that the appeal preferred by her has not been decided by the first respondent for the past seven years. 2/4

2. This Court is not aware of the fact that the appeal preferred by the petitioner has been entertained or not.

3. Admittedly, the petitioner has preferred an appeal after 60 days. In the event, if the appeal has been entertained by the first respondent and the same is pending before the first respondent, the same shall be decided by the first respondent on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Otherwise, the petitioner shall be communicated as to the stage of the appeal.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
