ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioners and their family members without any basis under the guise of enquiry. 2.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners and Mr.A.Ramar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor who takes notice for the respondent.

3.The first petitioner states that he has advanced a hand loan to an individual and that the borrower has settled the amount to the first petitioner during the last month in the presence of the respondent police. It is further stated that the respondent, under the pretext that the first petitioner is doing money lending business, is threatening the petitioners that a criminal case would be foisted against them. It is further stated that the first petitioner is not a money lender and he is an agriculturalist and advanced only a hand loan of a small amount to the known person. It is further stated that in these circumstances, the respondent called upon the petitioners to attend the enquiry which is in appropriate. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that no complaint or petition is received as against the petitioners and that therefore no enquiry is contemplated. It is further stated the petitioners were never harassed by the respondent police.
