O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to grant permission to perform the cultural programme of "Mahamayee Nadagam" on 28.04.2018 and "Annathanam" on 28.04.2018, 29.04.2018 and 30.04.2018 in connection with the "Chithira Pournami Festival" in Sri Mangalanayaki Kannaki Thirukovil situated at Palliyankudi, Gudalur, Theni District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 10.04.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 10.04.2018 to the second respondent to grant permission and protection for conducting cultural programme of "Mahamayee Nadagam" on 28.04.2018 and "Annathanam" on 28.04.2018, 29.04.2018 and 30.04.2018 in connection with the "Chithira Pournami Festival" in Sri Mangalanayaki Kannaki Thirukovil situated at Palliyankudi, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Gudalur, Theni District. As no order has been passed in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation is still pending with the second respondent. Therefore, this Court may pass appropriate orders to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the submission made by both parties, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 25.04.2018.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
