O R D E R

I have heard Ms.S.Mamtha for the petitioner, Mr.N.Ramesh Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, for the respondents 1 to 7, Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, representing for Mr.A.K.Jeyaseelan, learned Government Advocate, for the eighth respondent and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Senior Counsel, representing for Mr.L.Prabakaran, for the ninth respondent.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.N.Ramesh Arumugam and Mr.B.Saravanan point out that the writ petition is for mandamus not to grant permission to run a quarry in S.Nos.683 and 686 at Kuppam Village, Pugalur Taluk, Karur District. They state that the District Collector had already passed an order granting the lease on 30.01.2025. In so far as the other plea of Ms.S.Mamtha a public hearing was not conducted, Mr.Shaji Bino invites my attention to the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.M1/880/2023, dated 24.03.2023, to point out that public hearing was conducted pursuant to the aforesaid notice. 3/6

3. As the relief sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous with the grant of lease, I am not inclined to go into the second plea that has been raised by Mr.N.Ramesh Arumugam. It is upto the petitioner to work out his right in the manner known to law.

4. Recording the grant of lease on 30.01.2025, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
