..Respondent PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondent herein from harassing the petitioners in the guise of enquiry pursuant to the direction passed U/s.202 Cr.P.C in Cr.M.P.No.2962 of 2016 dated 27.05.2016 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Thoothukudi, Thoothukudi District.

ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the respondent not to harass the petitioners in the guise of enquiry. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have twice appeared before the respondent police and they have given their statements. Yet, the respondent police asked the petitioners to attend the office of the respondent. It is also pointed out that the second petitioner is employed at Bangalore and therefore, repeatedly he would not be able to appear before the respondent. However, on a specified date, he is prepared to appear before the respondent and cooperate with the enquiry.

4.On this submission, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that if the petitioners are appearing for enquiry on 04.08.2016, their presence may not be required any further.
