Contemnor/Respondent in both petitions PRAYER: Contempt petitions filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Court Act 1971, to punish the contemnor/2nd respondent for the wilfully and deliberately disobeying the order of the Court passed in W.P.(MD).No.20035 of 2018 & 20036 of 2018, dated 24.10.2019. Common Prayer in WP(MD). 20035 of 2018 & WP(MD) 20036 of 2018 Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the entire records pertaining to the impugned Memo No.4030/Legal 9 / TNSTC (TNLY.) / Nager./2017-2 & 2017-1 Respectively dated 23.10.

2017 issued by the 2nd respondent and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to issue the pension and other retirement benefits along with arrears on the basis of the service period from 01.04.1982 to 30.06.1998 & 01.04.1982 to 29.02.1996 respectively in view of the cut off date was fixed by this Hon'ble Supreme Court in SIA.(C).19016 of 2008 For Petitioners : Mr.K.Suresh Kumar For Respondents : Mr.R.Rajamohan Standing Counsel COMMON ORDER It is stated that the respondents have preferred appeals against the order of the writ court and notice has been ordered therein to the respondents in C.M.P.(MD).Nos.1578 & 1569 of 2021. When the Honourable Division Bench has taken cognizance of the matter, it would not be appropriate to simultaneously adjudicate the contempt petition.

Hence, the contempt petitions stand closed. However, in case, the petitioners are of the view that the disobedience continues even after the final disposal of the writ appeals itself, it is open to them to exercise his rights with https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.
