This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to accord necessary permission for "Adal Padal" which is scheduled to be held on 19.04.2018 and 29.04.2018 at night 9.00 to 01.00 hour in connection with "Chitra Pournami Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Temple at Thuravikadu Village, Peravoorani Taluk, Thanjavur District, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 02.04.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 02.04.2018 to the second respondent to grant permission and

protection for conducting "Adal Padal" scheduled to be held on 19.04.2018 and 29.04.2018 at night 9.00 to 01.00 hour in connection with "Chitra Pournami Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Temple at Thuravikadu Village, Peravoorani Taluk, Thanjavur District. As no order has been passed in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation is still pending with the second respondent. Therefore, this Court may pass appropriate orders to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the submission made by both parties, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 18.04.2018.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
