Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and consequently direct the respondents not to harass and thereby not to interfere with the peaceful conduct of the petitioners Association under the name and style of Peacock Welfare Association at No. 7/112, Pottikulam, Malayagoundapatti (Po), Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District (Regd.No. 51/2016) based on the representation dated 05.03.2021.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken for final hearing.
2. On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that the petitioner is a Treasurer of a registered Association, having a motive to encourage poor children in various sports activities, but, the respondent police is often harassing the petitioner and disturbing the sports activities and prayed a direction not to interfere in the functions of the Association. 3.On the side of the respondents, it is stated that whenever the respondent received complaints regarding some illegal activities in the Association, the respondent is at liberty to verify the same and prayed the petition to be dismissed.
4.It is seen that the petitioner is a Treasure of an Association, conducting various sports activities. At the same time, the respondent is having power to enquire any illegal activities that may take place in any premises. 5.In the above circumstances, this Court directs the writ petitioner to restrict the activities within the yardstick permitted https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
WP(MD)No.6252 of 2021 by the respondent police. The respondent police is hereby directed to give some specific directions to the petitioner for conducting the sports activities and not to interfere in the peaceful functions of the Association.
6.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
