O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner based on his complaint dated 22.04.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's father settled the property in his name by way of gift deed dated 29.01.2007; that on account of some dispute, his brother Muthuramalingam waylaid the petitioner, scolded him and attacked him with deadlly weapons, for which, a case in Crime No.145 of 2014 has been registered against his brother; that on 21.04.2016, the way leading to his house was obstructed by the accused persons and when the petitioner tried to remove the same, he was assaulted and that a complaint was lodged in this regard and the same is pending in CSR No.71 of 2016. In the meanwhile, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking for the above relief.

4. Under such circumstances, the respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 22.04.2016 of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
