ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for quashing the impugned First Information Report in Crime No.354 of 2019, on the file of the first respondent, for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 448, 323, 366 and 506(2) of IPC and Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

2.The de-facto complainant/Muthulakshmi is present in person before me. She is identified by her counsel as well as by Mr.M.Velayutha Perumal, SSI of Police, Pudukottai Police Station. The case of the de-facto complainant is that her daughter was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P(MD).No.4674 of 2020 abducted by the accused. The de-facto complainant states that her daughter got married and she does not want to continue the impugned prosecution. The daughter of the de-facto complainant, namely, Annamal @ Regha is also present in person. She states that she got married to Balamurugan. I am of the view that the impugned prosecution ought not to continue. Therefore, the impugned First Information Report stands quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
