ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.225 of 2024 as against all the named accused persons.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the de facto complainant in this case and based on the complaint, a case in Crime No.225 of 2024 was registered for the offences under Sections 420, 143, 294(b) and 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. After registration of FIR, the respondent police has not conducted proper investigation and so far they have not filed any final report. Therefore, the petitioner filed this petition to expedite the investigation and to file final report.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that already the petitioner has filed a petition to transfer the investigation and the same is also pending in Crl.O.P(MD)No. 2/4

21483 of 2024. In this case, the investigation is pending and they will complete the investigation within two months.

4. Since the FIR is pending from July 2024 and still the investigation is continuing, this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation and to file final report, within a period of two (2) months from the date of this order.

5. With the above said observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
