ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the appeal filed under the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983, within the time frame fixed by this Court. 1/4

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent, on written instructions received from the respondent, submitted that the appeal was filed by the father of the petitioner and he died and thereafter, the petitioner has not taken any steps to prosecute the appeal and therefore, the same is pending.

3. In the considered view of this Court, it will suffice, if a direction is given to the respondent to pass final orders in the appeal within the time frame fixed by this Court. In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to make a representation to the respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order. The petitioner shall also cooperate during the appeal proceedings and the respondent shall proceed further to enquire all the interested parties and pass final orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
