This petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2. Both side arguments heard and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the second respondent police frequently called the petitioner for enquiry and harassed him under the guise of enquiry. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, would submit that the present petitioner was enquired originally in Crime No.10 of 2012, on the file of the Inspector of Police, Rameswaram Town Police Station. Subsequently, the investigation in Crime No.10 of 2012 was transferred to CBCID, Ramanathapuram District, and renumbered as Crime No.2 of 2015, by the second respondent police. He further submitted that the petitioner was already enquired by the second respondent police and after enquiry is over, the second respondent has not summoned the petitioner for enquiry. Hence, no such harassment is made out by the second respondent police, as alleged by the petitioner. 5.Recording the above statement of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with liberty to the respondent police to summon the petitioner, when necessity arises.
