Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS, directing the 1st respondent to issue Passport to the Petitioner by processing his application in File No.TR2064967661425 based on the explanation/representation dated 03.02.2026 within a time limit stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the first respondent to issue passport to the petitioner by considering his explanation dated 03.02.2026.

2. The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.216 of 2024, on the file of the second respondent which has culminated in filing of a charge sheet in S.T.C.No.614 of 2024, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Pudukottai.

3. Considering the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned trial Court seeking the permission of the Court to go abroad. In case if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of 4(four) weeks. Based upon the orders to be passed by the concerned trial Court, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
