Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The writ petitioner is a lawyer practising before this Court as well as the principal seat. The petitioner's original name was 'M.Chinnasamy'. The petitioner got his name changed as 'M.C.Swamy'. It was also duly published in the gazette. However, the earlier name is appearing in the revenue records in respect of the petition mentioned lands. The petitioner has represented to both the respondents herein for effecting appropriate mutation of his name. The respondents are directed to effect mutations as sought for by the petitioner in his representation as expeditiously as possible. 2/4
