This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to remove the caste name entered in the petitioner's Patta No.243, New Patta No.256 based on the petitioner's representations dated 02.11.2020 and 08.11.2021 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner claims that in Patta No.243 issued in his favour, his caste name has been wrongly mentioned. In such circumstances, he has given representations on 02.11.2020 and 08.11.2021 to the respondent requesting him to remove the same. Since the said representations have not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3.Heard Mr.M.Ramu, learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and Mr.D.Sasikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondent if the petitioner's representations as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner including granting him the right of personal hearing within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.Accordingly, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 02.11.2020 and 08.11.2021, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.[MD]No.5004 of 2022 seeking to remove the wrongly mentioned caste name in the petitioner's Patta No.243, New Patta No.256 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner including granting him the right of personal hearing within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
