O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent not to harass the petitioner by interfering with the petitioner's business under the guise of enquiry.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, a case has been registered in Crime No.1085 of 2017 for the offence punishable under Section 75 of Tamilnadu City Police Act, 1888. He further submitted that there is no harassment except under due process of law.

4. According to the petitioner, the dispute is between the landlord and the tenant and it is purely civil in nature, but the case been registered in Crime No.1085 of 2017 for the offence under Section 75 of Tamilnadu City Police Act, 1888. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. In the light of the above, it is open to the petitioner to seek his remedy in accordance with law. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
