This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament scheduled to be taken place on 24.05.2018 and 25.05.2018 between 06.00 p.m. to 06.00 a.m. in connection with the "85th Anantha Pandigai" of C.M.S. Suthanga Suvisesha Sabai at Ambalam Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tiruneveli District.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 12.03.2018 to the second respondent to grant permission and protection for conducting "Kabadi Tournament" scheduled to be taken place on 24.05.2018 and 25.05.2018 between 06.00 p.m. to 06.00 a.m. in connection with the "85th Anantha Pandigai" of C.M.S. Suthanga Suvisesha Sabai at Ambalam Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tiruneveli District. As no order has been passed in the said representation, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation is still pending with the second respondent. Therefore, this Court may pass appropriate orders to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law.
5. Considering the submissions made by both parties, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
