ORDER

Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

The petitioner seeks issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.12.2024 for issuance of joint patta in respect of S.No.43/60 relating to Door No. 4/137 at Achampathu Village, Madurai.

2. Considering the limited scope of relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner is claiming to be a descendant of Vellaichamy and through his son Duraipandi has sought for inclusion of petitioner's and other legal heirs name in the joint patta. In this regard, the petitioner has made an application to the respondent on 13.12.2024. The petitioner only seeks limited relief of the expeditious disposal of the said application. 2/4

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, writ petition is allowed by directing the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 13.12.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
