ORDER

The petitioners / Accused Nos.1 to 3 have filed this petition to quash the FIR in Crime No.603 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Vangal Police Station, Karur District, wherein they were said to have committed offence under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) IPC.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant was a member of Kuchipalayam Village Panchayath in ward No.8. On 13.12.2020, the accused persons tried to encroach and demolish the structures, which was constructed by the Panchayat and scolded the defacto complainant with filthy languages. Hence, the defacto complainant preferred a complaint before the respondent police and the same was registered in Crime No.603 of 2020 for the above said offence and to quash the same, the petitioners filed this petition.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent would

submit that the investigation in Crime No.603 of 2020 has been completed and charge sheet has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Karur and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.62 of 2021.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioners work out their remedy in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
