O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.] The prayer in the petition is to quash the impugned order passed by the second respondent in No.479/tha.ku.2/2026 dated 10.02.2026 and direct the respondents 1 and 2 to grant 15 days emergency leave without escort to the petitioner's husband namely Baskaran, S/o.Panchavarnam, CP No.6092 now confined under Central Prison, Madurai.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband was convicted by the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ramanathapuram in S.C. No.25 of of 2020 and sentenced to undergo life imprisonment for the offence under Section 302 of IPC. Aggrieved over the same, her husband has filed an appeal before this Court and the same was dismissed. The husband of the petitioner is

languishing in jail for more than four years. While being so, the petitioner submitted representation seeking emergency leave for her husband on the ground that he has arrange funds for payment of school fees for his child. However it was rejected on the ground that the husband of the petitioner is facing two more cases including case under Section 302 of IPC. Therefore this Court finds no reason to interfere with the order of the second respondent, hence the petition stands dismissed. However the jail authorities are directed to transfer the salary of the convict if any to the account of the petitioner directly. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
