ORDER

This Criminal Original petition is filed for issuing a direction to the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, to expedite the trial and to dispose the criminal case in C.C.No.36 of 2015 within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. It appears that on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case was registered in Crime No.6 of 2014 for the offences under Sections 498(A), 494 I.P.C and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act r/w. Section 109 of I.P.C. After filing of Charge Sheet, the case was taken on file in C.C.No.36 of 2015 by the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, for the same offences.

4. It is stated that the matter is pending from the year 2015

and that the accused are making several attempts to drag on the proceedings willfully by absconding.

5. Considering the grievance of the petitioner and the fact that the matter is now posted for examination of P.W.4 to P.W.6, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- "The learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, Pudukottai District, is directed to expedite the trial and to dispose of the case in C.C.No.36 of 2015 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
