This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to register a case on the complaint of the petitioner dated 12.05.2017.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that based on the petitioner's complaint, a case has already been registered in Crime No.31 of 2017, for the offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 406, 294(b), 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 on the file of the respondent police. He has also produced a copy of the FIR to that effect. 3.Recording the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
