ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner is shown as accused No.3 in Crime No.64 of 2015, for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 IPC.

, and Sections 4 and 5 of Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act, 1978, registered on the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Madurai District. The case was transferred to the Economic Offences Wing-II, Madurai District and re-numbered as Crime No.1 of 2016, for the offences punishable under Sections Sections 406, 420 and 120(b) IPC., and Section 5 of Tamilnadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (In Financial Establishment) Act, 1997. He seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police.

3. It appears that the petitioner is holding a Senior Executive position in the financial establishment in question.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submitted that as of now, complaints to the tune of Rs.26 crore have been received and the expected volume will be upto Rs.1000 crore. In such circumstances, custodial interrogation is absolutely necessary in order to trace the siphoned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

off funds. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
