O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue a appropriate direction to the respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner by way of considering the petitioner's representation, dated 14.02.2025.

2.According to the petitioner, there is a property dispute pending between the petitioner and the private respondents. The petitioner used to collect rent from the tenants, however, the private respondents are restraining the petitioner from receiving rent from the tenants. Therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondent police on 14.02.2025 seeking police protection but the same was not considered. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that there is a property dispute pending between the parties, both parties lodged complaints against each other and they also assigned CSR Nos.135 and 136 of 2025 and after enquiry the matters were referred to Tahsildar for conducting peace committee meeting and the same is now 2/5

pending. Therefore, the petitioner has to appear before the Tahsildar for enquiry. The respondent police is ready to act as per the resolution passed in the peace committee meeting.

4.Considering the nature of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without issuing notice to the private respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose of the petition.

5.The matter is pending before the Tahsildar for conducting peace committee meeting and the Tahsildar is not a party to the proceedings, hence, it is appropriate to direct the petitioner to appear before the concerned Tahsildar and the respondent police is directed to act in accordance with law, as per the resolution passed in the peace committee meeting. With the above said observations and directions, this petition stands disposed of.
