O R D E R
The Writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the second respondent to issue separate patta to the property in Madurai East Taluk, Vandiyur Village 2nd Bit, UDR Survey No.125/2C2 measuring 609 square feet by making sub division. The petitioner had given a representation on 30.01.2023. The petitioner had earlier applied for patta through online on 15.11.2022.
2. In the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, it had been stated that the petitioner had been in continuous possession and enjoyment consequent to purchase of the said aforementioned lands. The 2/5
revenue documents however, stand in the name of the vendor. The petitioner had given an aforementioned application seeking patta.
3. The learned Government Advocate however, states that the land is also vested with Sindhu Mandakapadi Arakkattalai and therefore, a separate patta cannot be issued to the petitioner herein. At the most, it is stated that a joint patta alone can be issued.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner however, stated that for the surrounding land, patta had been granted. It is also stated that the said Arakkattalai is not registered, but the name is reflected in the revenue records.
5. The second respondent/ Tahsildar, may examine the entire issue and put in writing about this particular fact to the petitioner herein. The said information may be given by the Tahsildar on or before 31.07.2023.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
