ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to give adequate police protection to temple function of Sri Thavasiandavar Temple in Kurukalpatti Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tirunelveli District on 03.05.2018 and 04.05.2018 as well as Innisai Katchery dated 03.05.2018 at night.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The application shall be submitted only by the trustees of the Temple or the committee of the Vizha Kzhuvinar or the organizers of the festival committee before the concerned respondent police. The petitioner has made a representation only on individual capacity. Therefore, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Further, the programme is to be held on 03.05.2018. Therefore, it is open to the person, who is representative for the Temple Committee can make a fresh representation along with the order copy to the second respondent. If any such application is made, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

01.05.2018, by taking into consideration of the conditions imposed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.7911 of 2018 dated 12.04.2018, if there is no rival claim to conduct the festival.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
