ORDER
It is seen that this petitioner gave a complaint to the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption against the respondents 5 and 6 alleging that they are receiving bribe and thereafter, he filed Crl.O.P.(MD)No.17267 of 2017 for a direction to register a FIR on his complaint. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.17267 of 2017 was closed on 15.12.2017 on the representation of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the complaint given by the petitioner has been sent to the concerned Department for enquiry. While so, the petitioner has filed the present petition for a direction to the respondent police to give him police protection.
2. In the opinion of this Court, such as omni bus nature of relief cannot be granted. That apart, there are 2 criminal cases against the petitioner namely, Crime No.25 of 2002 under Section 379 IPC, Crime No.3 of 2002 under Section 379 IPC.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in both the cases, the petitioner has been acquitted.
4. Be that as it may, omni bus nature of relief cannot be granted. As and when there is any real threat and not imaginary threat, it is open to the petitioner to approach the local police for seeking police protection.
