O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, forbearing the respondent herein from issuing transfer of patta for Survey Nos.956/5, 955, 966/1, 967/1 situated in Vada Veeranaickenpatti Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District to any fraudulent persons without conducting proper enquiry under Rule 4 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Rules, 1984 and consequently direct the respondent herein to issue transfer of patta to the petitioner inherited from his father for A-Schedule of properties in Registered Partition Deed dated 24.03.2022 vide Doc.No.3016/2022, on the file of Sub Registrar, Theni.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the first respondent, submits that the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2025 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The first respondent is further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, respondents 2 to 4 and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry.
