This Criminal Original Petition is filed for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Shencottai, Tirunelveli District, in C.C.No.64 of 2017 to complete the trial within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3.It is stated by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that a case has been foisted on the petitioner and the same is now pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Shencottai without any further progress. It is further stated that the petitioner is entitled to insist upon speedy disposal. Having regard to the facts and circumstances and considering the nature of complaint and the fact that there is no complicated issues is involved in this case, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Shencottai, Tirunelveli District is directed to expedite the trial and dispose of the case in C.C.No.64 of 2017 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. As a result, the criminal original petition is allowed.
