O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the dance programme "Isai Natiiyam" (Aadal Padal) at Arulmighu Shri Chellamuthu Maariamman Temple, situated at Pudhu theru, Pallakkaddu Village, Srirangam Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District from 07.00 p.m., to 01.00 a.m., on 23.04.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, the programme is scheduled to be held on 23.04.2018 i.e., today. Therefore, the petitioner requests this Court to give liberty to make a fresh representation to the respondents for conducting the programme on some other date i.e., on 25.04.2018.

4. In view of the request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the second respondent today itself and on such receipt of the fresh representation, the second respondent shall consider and pass order on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 24.04.2018.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
