ORDER

The petitioner, who has attained the age of superannuation on 31.01.2006, was not allowed to retire from service, by initiating a disciplinary proceedings for the charge which has been levelled against him in the year 1999. The Department has concluded the disciplinary proceedings on 21.04.2025 and passed an order imposing punishment of pension cut of Rs.300/- p.m. for a period of two years. However, even after the conclusion of the disciplinary proceedings, the petitioner was not provided with the terminal benefits. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted several representations and also filed this writ petition, challenging the order of punishment dated 21.04.2025.

2. Today, when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not pressing the relief of quashing the order of punishment dated 21.04.2025, provided a 2/4

direction is issued to the respondents to pay all terminal benefits due to the petitioner, within a stipulated time.

3. It is also reported that the first respondent issued a direction to settle all the terminal benefits to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to settle the terminal benefits due to the petitioner together with interest at the rate of 6% p.a., within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, the impugned order dated 21.04.2025 imposing a punishment of pension cut of Rs.300/- p.m. for a period of two years is hereby confirmed and the same shall be deducted from the petitioner's terminal benefits. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 20.02.2026 ogy Index : Yes / No.
