O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition is filed for a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation and to file a final report in connection with Crime No.37 of 2017 on their file before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruppthur, Sivagangai District within a time as framed by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3.On the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case was registered in Crime No.37 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 324 and 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act. It is further stated that there was no enquiry thereafter and that a direction to the respondent to file a final report within a time frame fixed by this Court will be in the interest of justice. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the investigation is almost over and that a final report is likely to be filed within five months. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 5.In view of the above, the criminal original petition is allowed and the respondent is directed to complete the

investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.37 of 2017 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirupathur, Sivagangai District, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
