ORDER

This petition has been filed praying to quash the charge sheet filed in C.C.No.259 of 2014, pending before the Judicial Magistrate, Addl.Mahila Court, Madurai.

2. The petitioner is arrayed as A1, for the alleged offence under Sections 498(A), 406, 448 and 506(i) of IPC., in C.C.No.259 of 2014. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, a compromise memo, dated 29.4.2015, has been filed, signed by the parties, wherein it has been stated that the dispute has been settled amicably between the parties and the 2nd respondent does not want to continue the litigation. The respective parties are also present before this Court along with their respective counsels. The 2nd respondent has stated that she has agreed for the receipt of a Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.6,00,000/-, as final settlement. It is further seen that in so far as the other accused are concerned, this Court has quashed the proceedings in C.C.No.259 of 2014, in Crl.O.P(MD)No.16443 of 2013, dated 30.04.2015. 3.In view of the said compromise memo, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the C.C.No.259 of 2014, pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Madurai.

4. In the result, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings in C.C.No.259 of 2014, pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, is quashed.
