The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the assignment granted in favour of the father of the fifth respondent, namely Kandasamy Servai, in respect of the property comprised in Survey Nos. 1392, 1393, 1529/2, and 1530, measuring an extent of 5 acres and 50 cents, situated at Palayam Village, Gujiliamparai Taluk, Dindigul District, on the ground of violation of the conditions of the assignment, based on the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2026.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that the subject land originally belonged to him. Subsequently, the land was declared as surplus under the Urban Land Ceiling Act and was taken over by the Government. Thereafter, the Government assigned the land in favour of the father of the fifth respondent, who, in turn, sold the property to several persons, namely respondents 6 to 19. He further contended that the father of the fifth respondent violated the conditions of the assignment by alienating the property to third parties. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
