PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to upload the agricultural electricity service connection No.142 (049-014-142) standing in the name of the Petitioner in the computer records. ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to upload the Agricultural Electricity Service connection No. 142(049-014-142) standing in the name of the petitioner, into the computer records.
2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the agricultural service connection was standing in the name of the father and he had passed away. Thereafter, the service connection was transferred in the name of the writ petitioner by the respondents by way of proceedings dated 21.04.2005. However, the name has not been incorporated in the computer records. Hence, the petitioner has made a request to the respondents on 11.11.2025 and on 12.12.2025. Since there was no response, the present writ petition.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that in case all the records are produced before the second respondent, the request of the petitioner could be considered.
4. Considering the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the second respondent with all the records for effecting name transfer in the computer records. In case if the second respondent is satisfied, records shall be mutated in favour of the petitioner within a period of 4(four) weeks from the date of receipt of records from the petitioner.
5. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
