Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the first respondent and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the second respondent.

W.P.(MD)No.5521 of 2020 2.The petitioner seeks issuance of passport. It is seen that the petitioner involved in a criminal case in Crime No.543 of 2016 registered on the file of the second respondent. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the second respondent submitted that final report has been filed. If that be so, the remedy open to the petitioner is to move the jurisdictional Criminal Court where the final report has been filed. The jurisdictional Criminal Court is directed to take a call with regard to the final report immediately and without delay. Of course this direction to the jurisdictional Criminal Court will come into play immediately after the lockdown is lifted and regular hearings renew. 4.

Leaving open the petitioner's right to move the Criminal Court, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
