ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to disburse the pension, arrears and all attendant terminal benefits with 18% of interest p.a., to the petitioner as of his retirement dated 31.01.2000 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as a full time Village Assistant and his service was regularised as per G.O.Ms.No.625, dated 06.07.1995. Subsequently, he retired on 31.01.2000. However, the respondents had not disbursed any pension amount to the petitioner. Hence, he made a representation to the respondents on 08.10.2018. Since no action is forthcoming, the petitioner is before this Court by filing this writ petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

5. Considering the nature of relief sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the petitioner's case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.10.2018, seeking disbursement of his retiral benefits and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law and in the light of G.O.Ms.No.625, dated 06.07.1995, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eights weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
