Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Certiorarifed Mandamus, by calling for the records of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.29/2018 dated 28.03.2018 and quash the same insofar as it relates to Serial No.1 relating to auction which is scheduled to be held on 20.04.2018 for the right to collect the entry fees of the Thisayanvilai Bus Stand and direct the respondents to extend the said right in favour of the petitioner for another two years upto 31.03.2021. ORDER

Heard Mr.P.Santhoshkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.Rajarajan, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the second respondent.

2.By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.The only ground on which the petitioner challenges the tender schedule is that the respondents have arbitrarily enhanced the deposit amount by more than 10 times in the tender schedule. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.I do not find any illegality in such increase. Whether the bid amount is exorbitant or not can be decided only after the tender is conducted. It is always open to the petitioner to participate in the tender process. As such the ground raised by the petitioner cannot be sufficient to set aside the tender cum auction process. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
