Respondents Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.08.2019 seeking to restore the unutilized land in S.No.178/3 to an extent of 4.58.0 Hectares situated at Kadhapparai Village, Karur Taluk, Karur District acquired for Salem-Karur Broad Gauge Railway Line Scheme within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.08.2019.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is informed that the property now vests with the Railways and the competent

authority to consider the petitioner's request is only the Chief Administrative Officer, Construction, Southern Railways, PEVR Periya Road, Egmore, Chennai. The petitioner is therefore, directed to resubmit the representation dated 30.08.2019 to the aforesaid official, who shall consider the same and pass orders within a period of one month from the date on which the petitioner re-submits his representation.

3. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
