O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed for issuing a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thiruchirappalli, to expedite and complete the trial in C.C.No.197 of 2014 within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent.

3. There is no representation for the petitioner.

4. The petitioner is the eleventh accused in C.C.No.197 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thiruchirappalli. On the basis of the complaint lodged as against the petitioner and others, a case was registered in Crime No.1194 of 2013, for the alleged offences under Sections 465, 467, 468, 471 and 420 r/w 120(b) of I.P.C. After filing of Charge Sheet, the case was taken on file in C.C.No.197 of 2014 by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thiruchirappalli. Alleging that the matter is pending from the year 2014 and that the petitioner who is one of the accused is entitled to have speedy trial, the petitioner states that

he is constrained to file this petition.

5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thiruchirappalli, is directed to expedite the trial and to dispose of the case in C.C.No.196 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

6. The Criminal Original petition is allowed, accordingly.
