The petitioner seeks a direction for registration of an F.I.R on his complaint dated 14.03.2017. If a complaint makes out a commission of cognizable offence, it is the duty of the police to register the same. But, in the present case, the prayer is for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

registration of F.I.R by the Central Bureau of Investigation. Such prayer is on the very face of it not maintainable and this petition lacks merit.
