This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the second respondent herein to give necessary police protection and permit the petitioner to conduct "Adalum Padalum" Cultural program during Arulmigu Sree Santhana Mariammankovil Kodai festival Varatharajapuram, Umarikottai Post, Thoothukudi District on 02.05.2018 and consider the petitioner's representation, dated 10.04.2018.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 10.04.2018 to the respondents to grant permission and protection for
conducting "Adalum Padalum" scheduled to be held on 02.05.2018 at Arulmigu Sree Santhana Mariammankovil Kodai festival Varatharajapuram, Umarikottai Post, Thoothukudi District. As no order has been passed in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation is still pending with the second respondent. Therefore, this Court may pass appropriate orders to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law.
5.Considering the submission made by both parties, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 30.04.2018. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
