This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the 2nd respondent to register a case on the petitioner's complaint dated 17.10.2017 and investigate the case in accordance with law.

2. According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the complaint was closed on the basis of the statement made by the petitioner that the respondent shall not proceed further.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner disputed the said fact and sought liberty to approach before the Competent Criminal Court for taking further action.
